Sacred Heart Schools is proud to present Camp Gator, the complete camp experience. No matter what your child’s interests are, we have a program he or she will love. The extremely popular Wide World of Sports and Camp Gator Adventures are back. These camps compliment each other very well and your child will have a positive experience trying either one, or both. Camp Gator also has individual sports clinics such as basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and tennis as well as enrichment programs such as chess, video game creation, and counselor in training programs. Camp Gator Swim School is taking huge strides to be the premier swim lesson facility in the Bay Area offering private and group lessons for 9 weeks, 5 days a week in our state of the art olympic-size aquatic facility.

All of our programs are held on the beautifully wooded 64-acre Sacred Heart campus in Atherton, home to St. Joseph’s School of the Sacred Heart and Sacred Heart Preparatory. Our facilities include state-of-the-art science and computer labs, designated art classrooms, two gymnasiums, a weight room, an aquatic center, track and playing fields, tennis courts, a football field, a dance studio, and two theaters.

Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton, founded in 1898, is an independent, coeducational, Catholic school for students from preschool through high school.

We are very proud of our camp directors, counselors, and staff members, many of whom have been associated with Sacred Heart Summer Camps for a number of years. These men and women have been chosen on the basis of their ability to lead and teach children and to provide a positive role model for campers. Returning campers will recognize many familiar faces.


Answers to FAQ's

• Extended Care is offered at $10 an hour from 7 am to 6 pm before and after camp. You can sign in on the days you want to take advantage of it and pay by check at the end of your last session.

• The cafeteria is "nut-free". At lunch, campers can choose from the hot option which changes daily or the sandwich option which is offered everyday.

• Swimming is OPTIONAL. Less than half of the campers decide to swim daily. Campers must pass the swim test to be allowed beyond the 3 and a half foot waters. Lifeguards and adult directors are supervising. We do not recommend the swimming option for four year olds.

• Camp Gator has a full time medical trainer on site everyday.

• All adult director and college level positions have been filled. High school counselors must be at least 16 years old by July 1 and currently attending Sacred Heart Schools to apply.
